About Us

Our Story

Forever and Green was founded by Neela and Scott (Hi there!) in late 2020 as a UK based, online boutique for eco-friendly products that would help people to make sustainable choices when shopping.

The idea initially spawned while we were planning our own Wedding (our “Forever”) and how we might make it as “Green” as possible. We realised that it was quite difficult to source recycled, plastic free items for our big day and wondered whether we should create a single place where people could discover small, local businesses and brands that were making cruelty-free, sustainable, and recyclable items and be able to buy them with ease.

Then, COVID-19 struck and the world became a little chaotic.

Out of this grew some wonderful things. Areas of the country started to re-wild, the air was cleaner, we got out for an hour of exercise and people came together to clap and show their appreciation for their neighbours, community, and key workers. BUT people weren’t getting married and like other engaged couples, we were forced to postpone as we entered a national lockdown.

The mission remained though. An online shop with carefully selected products that we would ensure were as environmentally friendly, ethical and zero-waste as possible but with style and quality at the forefront too. We may no longer be wedding focused, but we aim to get people started with the basics of zero waste and help them on their journey to making long-term (Forever), eco-conscious (Green) decisions when buying.

Our Vision and Values

Knowledge and information are the key to making environmentally friendly and sustainable choices for a cleaner, healthier planet. We believe that small changes made by individuals can make a huge difference and it starts with simple swaps.

Whether you are looking to dip your toe in Zero Waste living, buying a gift or are a family looking to find sustainable options that are easy to understand for parents and kids alike.

We aspire to be an online hub where you can learn, be inspired, discover, support local small businesses and purchase easy alternatives to reduce your waste and live a more sustainable lifestyle.

We endeavour to remain transparent in the way we operate. We work closely with our partners as they are held against our Ethical Sourcing Policy, to ensure their eco-friendly products are manufactured and sourced fairly, ethically and with little impact on the environment. We are also looking to join the B Corp community. We’ll be measuring our environmental and social impact and committing to transparency by publishing our score online.

Finally, our aim is to hero British designers and brands that are making their eco-friendly products right here in the UK. We’re conscious of the journey a product takes to reach our customers and so whilst most of our brands are homegrown, we also only ship within the U.K., keeping ours and your footprint as low as possible and all delivered in our plastic-free packaging.

Your first Sustainable Swap?

I used to finger-paint and scribble on scraps of paper recycled from my dad’s office bin as a kid - does that count?

Sustainability Credentials?

  • An almost lifelong passion for the protection of our planet

  • PGDip/MSc. Sustainability and Adaptation

  • MSc. Thesis: Using psycho-social research methods to explore moments of ‘Epiphany’ and its effect in transforming individuals into actively engaged environmentalists

Your environmental epiphany?

Like most teens on a gap year. I went backpacking and there was a huge realisation once I got to the Great Barrier Reef. Even back then they were talking about “acidification” and the impact tourists were having. I travelled further South of Australia and came across great plains that had been destroyed by wildfires and knew I needed to do more whilst also thinking hard on the impact my travels were having on the earth.

Your first Sustainable Swap?

Reusable coffee cups, I used to work in the city drinking 4 cups a day. A reusable cup was necessary!

Sustainability Credentials?

  • I’m a newbie to zero waste. I’ll make mistakes along the way I’m sure but it’s a journey and I have a great teacher by my side - Learning everyday

Your environmental epiphany?

For so long, I didn’t used to think too much about what I bought and the impact it might have on the planet or even people. I went on holiday to Bali a few years back and like most tourists, went snorkeling with the Manta Rays. The sea and beaches were filled with floating bits of plastic (you’ve seen that video) some of which will have travelled from the West and across the Indian ocean. That combined with the fact that we ship our waste overseas, you feel a sense of responsibility for rubbish that has made its way halfway around the world!
